Yesterday, the Academy (finally) gave Leo his Oscar. So today, I'd like to thank Leonardo DiCaprio 1) for his resilience. Not just on set (he battled hypothermia while filming The Revenant). But throughout his film career. Even though he lost at the Academy Awards many times over, he continued to work as hard as ever to elevate his craft. That's a nice life lesson. And 2) I'd like to thank him for using his star-power for good. In his acceptance speech last night, he voiced his concerns about the urgent threat of climate change and his desire to preserve our collective natural world. What a wonderful use of a microphone. Want to help Leo? He serves on the board of the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), rated 4 stars on Charity Navigator!
