The card: Love you - cross my heart (inspired by this card). You will need some brown recycled paper, twine (I used pink and red), a large needle, and a pen.
What to put inside: A love poem. Doesn't have to be your own. This one's my favorite.
The science: Start crafting your original love haiku. According to a 2013 fMRI study (love those), poetry - much like music - stimulates the part of the brain that deals with emotion, arousal, and "shivers-down-the-spine". In addition, certain passages of poetry activate the part of the brain associated with memory. You're welcome.
